I have decided to start a new blog at: http://fotoskarp.blogg.se. The new blog is in Swedish, so it will be a lot easier for me to write, and easier for (most of you…) to read! I still might post some things in both English and Swedish if I think that the subject of a post might be interesting for a lot of people outside of Sweden (such as reviews or ‘tips & tricks’).

Hello!
I haven’t updated the blog for almost a month! I have shot some pictures since then, but I’ve decided to not post anything more to this blog. First of all I really don’t have many visitors so I guess there’s not much point in posting things here. Also, I don’t like the way WordPress handles photo uploading nor the way it downscales the images for the blog. The design I’m using for the blog looks nice, but it’s not very good for a photo blog as it’s too narrow.
I’ve started working on a website instead, but that’s not intended to be a place to post all the latest photos, but rather a selection of the very best. Quality over quantity. Maybe I’ll clear out some photos from my Flickr, post some of my favorite old photos, and then try to post new shots as I shoot them. Haven’t uploaded to Flickr for a long time as the uploader was driving me crazy…

Now that the snow is (almost) gone I’ll try to get out a lot more and take photos! I’ve really missed it these past few months. However, I still don’t know what to do with this blog. Maybe I’ll start a new blog, in swedish, or I’ll just start uploading everything to Flickr or something like that + my website (which is now empty) where I’d just post the best of the best. We’ll see what happens once I start taking more pictures!
Here are a few quick snaps from today. The first shot is of the largest pile of snow we have left. Only a few weeks ago that pile went over the fence!
Yeah, I know… this blogging thingy isn’t working. Maybe it’ll get better when spring arrives, but right now there’s really not much inspiration. Since I mostly shoot outdoor stuff this long winter (there’s still quite a lot of snow) has really been an inspiration killer.
At least there’s one thing to look forward to, and that is “Fotomässan” (a photo trade show) in Gothenburg April 9th – 11th. I’m really looking forward to that! There are so many new cameras and lenses to test and photo exhibitions to look at!
Finally the snow has started to melt! These photos are water drops falling from the small roof over the entrance to my house. There’s still a lot of snow on the lawn though… but it’s a start! I can’t wait ’til spring!
Yeah, it’s been a while… I’m not in the mood to take photos in this weather! The snow just never seems to go away!
I want summer! NOW! I’m tired of the snow.
On saturday I will shoot a football game between Helsingborg and Halmstad here in Bjärnum. It’s a practice game, and it should be fun to shoot professional football. I just hope the weather will be good, or else I’ll stay at home…
The first shot here of the tree is a panorama of about 50 shots, taken with the eos 1D + ef 85 f/1.8 wide open. The other two are the same camera and lens, also wide open, but just one shot each.
It’s been over two weeks since I last posted anything here! This is the first post of 2010! Sorry… I just haven’t been in the mood lately. The weather is cold and snowy and I just don’t feel like going outside to take photos.
